The Three Zones, Explained Simply

🔴 Auto-Delete (Score 0–30)

🟢 Auto-Approve (Score 80–100)

Genuine fan messages. Warm comments. On-topic, non-controversial engagement. The AI is confident these are safe, so they're unhidden automatically. Your feed stays lively and warm without you lifting a finger.

You can turn on Telegram notifications for auto-approves if you want to spot-check them. Off by default — because you've got enough to do.

Special Rules That Override Everything

Some situations are too important to leave to a score:

Review Topics — you define phrases or subjects that must always go to human review, regardless of score. A comment scoring 90 that references ongoing legal proceedings? Capped and sent to your team. You set these during onboarding and can edit them any time.

Team Impersonation — always auto-deleted, no exceptions, no score considered.

Banned Commenters — repeat offenders can be banned manually or automatically. Once banned, their future comments are auto-deleted instantly, without scoring. No noise, no processing, just gone.

Maintenance Mode — moderation paused. Comments are hidden and queued for human-only review. Useful when you need full control during a sensitive period.

Calibration — How Much Does the AI Do On Its Own?

This is one of Velvet Rope's most thoughtful features. You can dial exactly how much autonomy the AI has, and grow its independence as you build trust in its judgement.

Shadow Mode The AI proposes approve or delete for every comment — but nothing is actioned on the platform. Every decision goes to your team for confirmation first. What Happens When the AI Gets It Wrong?

Can I adjust the thresholds if the AI is too aggressive or too lenient? Yes. Auto-approve threshold, auto-delete threshold, and grey zone width are all adjustable sliders in Settings. No redeploy, no downtime — changes take effect immediately.

What if a famous troll keeps coming back? Use the auto-ban feature. Set a threshold (e.g. 5 deletions in 30 days) and any commenter who hits it is banned automatically. Future comments from banned accounts are auto-deleted instantly — no scoring, no Telegram noise.
